COVID-19

Broad Street Ministry Center

COVID-19

The Govenor’s office deems us an essential non-profit organization. So we will continue to serve families in need during this time.
We are open Monday-Thursday from 9-4 for donations and small teams (2-4 people) to serve.
Saturday or Sunday we will be preparing the orders for the coming week. On Tuesdays we will be serving families outside from 10am-noon. Families will leave with bags of food to last a week which include: Canned goods, dried goods, frozen items, and/or fresh bread, and hygiene supplies (and emergency clothing as needed).  If you would like to be a part of serving our community please consider one of the following three ways:

1. Assisting with your family at the center. Anyone willing to serve at this time – we are asking that their team consists of no more than 4 people in a group – please call or email for more information on our serving needs at this time.

2. Donating items of food or hygeine

3. Giving a financial gift – See our Donate & Covid-19 online giving page for more information.

Items currently needed: Canned soup/veggies/fruit, pasta or pasta sides, sauce, rice (1 lb.) or rice sides, oatmeal/grits packets, peanut butter, jelly as well as hygiene supplies (toilet paper, tissue packs, soap bars, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant)

Go Fund Me

In Augusta GA, like most places, families find themselves in need during this crisis. Some are not able to work and are not getting paid. Yet they have a family to feed and bills to pay. Some suddenly find their children home from school and now they are in need of paying childcare expenses. Broad Street Ministry Center is abiding by all regulations set out by the state and federal government, while still aiming to stay open. We have modified how we serve families to ensure the safety of all and to remain following the protocols laid out by the authority above us. The hunger need continues to grow, however, the financial and food donations toward the center have gone down. We are creating this fundraiser in hopes of re-stocking our shelves so that we can serve as many of our neighbors as possible during this crisis. We are a 501(c)3 so anything you give is tax deductible.

Thank you for helping us, as we help those in need.
