PROJECT 61 MINISTRY - Holiday Meals/ Sponsor a Family 2019

Holiday Meals - Project 61

Project 61 is our Thanksgiving sponsorship and Christmas adoption ministry.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me  to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted..."
(Isaiah 61:1a)

How does it work?

For just $25, your donation will provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal box for a family in need - complete with turkey (or Ham at Christmas) and all the fixings. The meals will be purchased and distributed through Broad Street Ministry Center on one of our distribution nights.

* We are adding something different this year!

For an additional $15 we will be adding a family gift!

For Thanksgiving the gift will be a devotion book and a new pair of socks for each member of the family.

For Christmas the gift for each family will be: a devotion book, and a family game that spurs on conversation and togetherness (plus dessert for the game night).

I want to adopt. What's the next step?

To adopt for Thanksgiving or Christmas mail your $25 donation (or $40 if desiring to include the family gift) or drop it by 20 Broad Street, Augusta, GA 30901. Please remember to designate it as PROJECT 61. To help us prepare, if possible, please consider donating by October 30th to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving and by November 30th to sponsor a family for Christmas.

If you prefer to give on line, we have set up a "gofund" for our holiday meal program Holiday Meals for families in need

I'd like to volunteer at Thanksgiving or Christmas. How do I sign up?

On two nights the week before Thanksgiving and two nights the week before Christmas, we will host our distribution nights. These are fun events where we get to share Christ's love with the adopted families as they come to receive their meal boxes and gifts. To volunteer in one of the many areas of our Project 61 event, simply call 706-722-5999 or email broadstreetministry@comcast.net.

This year, with your partnership, BSMC hopes to have over 300 families to adopt for Thanksgiving
and Christmas.

Thank you in advance for your help in sharing the hope of Christ
with families in need this Thanksgiving and Christmas.
